Dr. M. Martin Kuye
M.D.

“My goal is to help people stay healthy by working with their families to become a healthcare partner and showing a way to live a healthy, energetic life so that we can all achieve our ultimate individual goals in life,” says Dr. M. Martin Kuye, co-founder of the Kuye Group.

It is this vision of partnership and compassion in healthcare that has yielded a thriving and award-winning set of clinics that are improving health throughout the RGV.

Dr. Kuye began his medical education at the University of Lagos, Nigeria, where he graduated with distinction in the top 5% of his class. He proceeded to complete his medical education in the United Kingdom and at NYU. Dr. Kuye also completed post-graduate training in healthcare economics in London, training which has helped him broaden his understanding of the health insurance industry. He has been board certified with the American College of Physicians since 2006.

In 2010, he was the President and Chief Medical Director for Cano Medical Center when it began operations by acquiring the practice of the late Dr. Abraham Cano. That center became the first Kuye Medical Group clinic, where Dr. Kuye and his wife, Dr. T. Kuye, bring their years of medical training and expertise together with a team of practitioners to provide individualized healthcare and achieve their vision of healthcare partnership.

Since then, Dr. Kuye and his wife have branded their own practice in Olmito, TX, known as Kuye Medical Group. Both clinics proudly serve the South Texas Rio Grande Valley community and hope to expand their efforts in the future.

Dr. Kuye has a passion for philanthropy and has provided free and subsidized care to numerous patients. He has also received numerous professional awards.

When Dr. Kuye isn’t practicing medicine, you can find him spending time with his family, adding value to the Rio Grande Valley with positive activities.
